Just wanted to say that that last night I was watching TV and saw two different commercials for Johnson and Johnson baby products. It is amazing how different my thought process is about these products now that I am more educated about the toxic chemicals they are made with! The commercial said something along the lines of "smells just like a baby should" and "this feels right" and I was thinking that stuff will never come CLOSE to my son's skin! :-) Before I would have been looking for it the next time I went to the store to try it! I am always asking "what is it made with". Now I am concerned about what is being absorbed by my skin instead of throwing things in the cart without thinking. Its all about education!

Hi Jenni! Right on! I could go in about ten directions with this post. Your comments really fit our society in everything from lifestyle, to products and to the food we eat.

Not only is smpler better, but it is less expensive. We now build our homes around storage instead of living space.

I cannot believe when I look at some product ingredients to see over 50 chemicals in one product.

So, I don't think that it is just our health that being effected by all these things we buy, but I truly believe that they are just more things to complicate our lives.

Maybe we need to start a new category on the CleanGreenCafe for lifestyle simplification. Living cleaner by living simpler lives is an interesting idea.

There is a big change coming.

When I worked in a garage when I was a teen, the boss told me to wash my hands with gasoline to get the greese off. We now know that doing that was stupid. Some of these chemicals in everyday products are worse. The good news is that I believe that forums like this and the EWG will bring about change.

I think that when we look back at this period and all the chemicals that will be banned, we will look back and not think that it was stupid. I feel we will look back and think that it was criminal!

You are right! There is a big difference of getting smarter over time and making changes in our lifestyle vs. people knowingly using chemicals in products that can hurt us.
