Hi , I wanted to inquire if you have any plans to formulate a sunscreen lotion for the body similar to your Solar RX for the face, neck, etc. I love this sunscreen, but it's not appropriate for the arms and legs. Thanks, Lori

Hi Lori,
No we do not plan to formulate a body sunblock.

The major reason is that we are a sun avoidance company and subscribe to covering up in the sun with SPF clothing, a wide brim hat and UV protecting sunglasses. That is why we recommend only using our Solar Rx on the face, neck and hands. Our founder is a Melanoma survivor and her advocacy is skin cancer prevention.

The other reason is technical. Body sun protection using a physical block really cannot be made to be comfortably applied and worn. This is where the chemical based sunscreens work better. Our issue is that we are also anti-chemical, so there really is no way to make it.

Also be aware that many chemical sunscreens only protect from UVB or the burning rays while not protecting from UVA or aging rays. Sunblocks like Keys Solar Rx are really cosmetic sun protection because they work harder at blocking the aging UVA rays.
