On another discussion topic the subject of names came up. The particuular chemical is our public enemy number 1 Sodium Lauyrl Sulfate or SLS for short. It is in virtually all soaps, detergents, haircare, dishwashing liquids and even toothpaste. In the other forum, there was a bit of anger fueled, luckly not at me, about what SLS was in. I contributed that you can't trust that if you don't see SLS on the label that it may still be in the product under a different name. If you click on the link below and type in SLS in the serach window marked ChemIDplus Lite: it will bring up the SLS page. On the mid left is a tab that is titled "Names and Synonyms", you will see what looks like about 100 different names for this bad boy. Read the rest if you dare.
